Miami, FL – August 19, 2021 – Legacy Hotel and Residences, Downtown Miami’s most anticipated mixed-use luxury development, broke ground on Thursday August 19, 2021. The ceremony was led by developer Dan Kodsi, Nitin Motwani from Miami Worldcenter, Commissioner Ken Russell and Peggy Olin CEO of OneWorld Properties. Legacy, part of Miami Worldcenter, is a neo-futurism inspired tower sitting on 1.3 acres that will feature 310 sold-out branded residences sitting atop a 219-room hotel, which will be managed and operated by Accor under the Morgans Originals portfolio.

Announced at the ceremony is how Miami will be home to the world’s first Blue Zones Center. Blue Zones and Adventist Health partnered with Legacy to operate its 10-floor, $100 million medical and well-being center to offer the world’s first AI-powered Blue Zones center to help people live longer lives – the first COVID-conscious design in the U.S. since the pandemic.
