Bob, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Established in Florida in 1993, The Kolter Group together with its affiliates is a real estate development and investment firm that has invested in projects with expected revenues in excess of $12 billion (both realized and in the process). Today, Kolter affiliates employ over 800 on over 50 active projects, operated through 4 distinct business units, each with its own division president.
o Kolter Urban – residential high-rise condominium development and urban infill o Kolter Homes – master-planned community development and homebuilding
o Kolter Land Partners – lot development and lot banking for third party builders o Kolter Hospitality – hotel development and investment
Kolter has earned a reputation as one of the most qualified real estate & development groups in the Southeast, having executed investments across major asset classes and all stages of the development cycle. The company’s portfolio of complementary businesses drives an entrepreneurial culture.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Real estate is a cyclical business. Our industry sector difficulties began around 2006, and pretty much every company experienced some level of distress through the balance of the decade. That said, throughout the Global Financial Crisis we did not default on a single financial obligation. Ultimately, the decisions and strategies implemented during this period positioned the company for the success we have experienced since.

The Kolter Group is a real estate development and investment firm. We are widely recognized for developing communities and projects that complement the natural environment rather than detract from it. We are known for delivering quality projects that meet or exceed our buyers’ expectations. Our standard residences are delivered with what many builders consider to be upgraded. We
associate with vendors who are on the cutting edge of their individual specialties. We try very hard to be good corporate citizens in all of the markets we are invested in through charities and community outreach.
We also have a strong sense of community and teamwork within the company. When our employee group all pulls in one direction, we achieve our objectives and meet our goals.
